ENGINEERING SERVICES SDN BHD is a
Company based in Kuala Lumpur,
Malaysia, dedicated
to the business of Condition Monitoring using the technique of INFRARED THERMOGRAPHY
since 1989. To complement the service, other related techniques like
Ultrasound,
Partial Discharge,Vibration Monitoring, Oil Analysis, etc, have been added.
Existing Clients are currently located in South East Asian Countries like
Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia,Philippines, to China, Australia and
other surrounding areas. The service covers a wide range of industries like
Petrochemical, Oil & Gas, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, Steelworks,
Agricultural, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Electronics, etc.
Among
our Customers, are International names like Ansell, Baxter, BP Amoco, Cabot,
Cargill, Esso,
Hewlett Packard, Intel, Kimberley Clark, Motorola, Philip Morris, Procter
Gamble, Seagate, Shell, Texas
Instruments, etc.
A
team of qualified Professionals and technically competent staff provide the
services required for
implementation of the various disciplines.
Our
experience in Infrared Thermography covers a very wide range of applications
not only in Electrical
installations, but also other important areas like Furnaces, Reactors,
Cryogenic equipment,
pipelines, chimney stacks, bearings, steam lines, etc.
A
combination of both Infrared Thermography and Partial Discharge together with
Ultrasound testing
is often used for condition based predictive maintenance of electrical
equipment. The Partial
Discharge/Ultrasound testing detects faults resulting from ionization &
corona which are developing
in enclosed switchgear long before any form of heat is detectable through the
use of Infrared Thermography.
Partial
Discharge Testing, complemented by Ultrasound inspection for High Voltage
Insulation Testing
has been very widely used successfully not only in 132/275kV outdoor
Substations, but also
extensively in indoor HV panels. Corona detection has been made much simpler
with the availability of high
quality Instruments.
In the
field of Ultrasound inspection, this covers a very wide field which includes
detection of arcing
& corona discharge before flash-over, pressure & vacuum leaks, liquid
leaks, pump cavitation,
valve leakages, steam trap defects, etc.
Vibration
Monitoring is used to determine the operating condition of rotating equipment
to identify potential
problems before they fail. Problems can be due to unbalance, misalignment,
mechanical looseness,
defective bearings, worn gears, etc.
Oil
analysis is an effective method for early detection of faults. For
transformer oil, dissolved gas
analysis allows determination of the various types of faults like insulation
breakdown, internal arcing
& sparking, etc. Metals in oil analysis complements dissolved gas
analysis to enable the type of
fault to be identified.
Equipment
wear problems can be identified through oil debris analysis by the detection
of type, size and
shape of metal particles within the oil sample.
